The Fernbus Simulator Free Download is a remote bus simulation developed by the German game developer TML in collaboration with Aerosoft and Flixbus. It was officially released on August 25, 2016, for Microsoft Windows and is available as both a retail version and a digital download through the Aerosoft shop or Steam. The game faithfully replicates the Federal Republic of Germany on a 1:10 scale, featuring an extensive route network covering approximately 20,000 kilometers and connecting 40 German cities. Players have the option to navigate through officially recreated Flixbus routes or create their own. Apart from driving buses, players are also responsible for passenger check-ins and ticket sales. Throughout the journey, players encounter various obstacles such as construction sites, traffic jams, police patrols, and traffic accidents. The game dynamically simulates day and night cycles, seasonal changes, and varying weather conditions to enhance the realism of the experience. The Fernbus Simulator allows players to operate simulated MAN Reisebussen, including models like the Lion’s Coach and Lion’s Coach C, based on original Flixbus designs. Cities such as Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Dresden, Hamburg, and Frankfurt, including Frankfurt Airport, are meticulously recreated in the game. Additionally, the simulation includes various highways to further enrich the gameplay. The development of the game was led by Thomas "TML" Langelotz, who founded the company with a partner and secured independent financing. TML Studios has been involved in several traffic and bus simulation projects, such as the Bus Simulator 2010, City Bus Simulator 2012, City Bus Simulator Munich, and Bus & Cable Car Simulator. The game's development process, based on the Unreal Engine 4, is documented in a developer diary available on YouTube in both German and English. The Fernbus Simulator was officially launched on August 25, 2016.
