No option (by custom post types or by title) will delete. It seems like it is processing, but then says “0 posts were deleted”. I’ve turned off all plugins but this one, and still happening. Most recent version of WordPress installed.

Hello Nate,
Please let us know the following details so that we can help you fix the issue.
- By which module are you trying to delete posts? I am assuming that you are using “Bulk Delete Posts by Title” module, since that is the addon that you bought. So let us know if that is the case.
- What are the options that you selected in that page. If possible also send a screenshot before you clicked the “Bulk Delete” button.
- Your system info. You can get it from Bulk WP -> System Info page.

Hello Nate,
I found the reason why it was not working for you. You are trying to delete posts from “Event” post type not from default “posts”.
Deleting from custom post types is not currently supported by the addon.
If you give me a day or two, then I can add the ability to delete posts from custom post types by title to the addon and release it.

Hello,
Thank you! Yes please add that ability for us. Our site is down/not working until we can delete these events. Thank you!

Hello Nate,
I just released v0.8 of the addon that adds the ability to choose the post type from which posts can be deleted.
You will be able to update to this version directly from your WordPress admin itself.
Kindly update the base Bulk Delete plugin to v5.5 before updating the addon.
Let me know if you still face any issues regarding it.

Hello Nate,
From the system info above
Bulk Delete Posts by Title Addon: 0.7.1
It seems you are still using the old version of the Bulk Delete Posts by Title Addon. The latest version of the addon is v0.8
Kindly update to the latest version and it should allow you to delete posts by title from the “Events” post type.
Let me know if you are still facing any issues with it.

Will it be possible to get access to your WordPress installation?
If you choose to give me access, then please select private reply when you post it so that only both of us can see your post.

Hello Nate,
In your site the Events Calendar PRO plugin is out of date.
The events are created using this plugin and I am wondering whether the events are not getting deleted because of this.
Is there any reason why you have not updated that plugin yet?

Hello,
I’ve updated that plugin and still not working. Can you take a look?

Hello Nate,
After a couple of hours of debugging, I finally found the reason why the “Events” are not getting deleted. The reason is that they are expired events.
The “The Events Calendar” plugin is modifying the query and preventing my plugin from querying for events if they have already expired.
I have to find a way to temporarily prevent “The Events Calendar” plugin from interfering with the db query that is made by my plugin so that the events can be deleted.
I am working on a fix for this and it will take me about 3-4 days since I have to collaborate with that plugin’s author as well.
Once I am able to fix it, I will update my addon and will let you know.
